Attract Shop floor to people
Upcoming retirement phase and less interest of younger people for shop floor work is a challenge
Description
A retirement phase is upcoming e.g., in Austria and well skilled workers are leaving our shop floor.
On the other hand the education level of the young generation is raising and working at the shop floor is less attractive for them.
In future we see a increasing challenge to get skilled workers.
A mix of different approaches can close the gap of shop floor workers:
– Raise the attractivity of production in terms of varied working content –> requires a change of production processes
– Reduce the difficulty of work to enable less skilled workers do the jop
– Support less skilled workers with Digitalization (e.g.. guidance with xR-glases)
– Enhance programs to get skilled immigrants to the shop floor
– Establish solutions (didactics, applications,…) for Language free working instructions
– Enhance collaboration and automatisation
