Detailed programme description
The Summer School kicks off with a “True Stories” workshop, where participants gain insights into entrepreneurial decision-making. Two academic sessions, comprising interactive sessions and hands-on technological seminars, will follow. The event is structured to deliver a comprehensive introduction to the subject, progressing to practical examples and specific case studies, culminating in a guided hands-on activity.
In the first session, the focus will be on exploring the integration and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the manufacturing sector. The second session will equip participants with current methods and tools to foster creativity and drive sustainable innovation. Company representatives will share their experiences and success stories, fostering interactive and participatory learning.
Last year’s Summer School – Our students working on Ecosystem Mapping, Field Research understanding customers’ perspective, visit to CIIRC lab.
Visits to startups and established companies will showcase innovative experiences and facilitate networking. A presentation on the cooperative activities of the Mondragón group will offer insights into socially sustainable organizational options. Participants will also visit the Mondragon Business Development Centre, which focuses on entrepreneurship development, diversification, and the generation of new business activities.
During the Market Exploration Bootcamp, participants will hone their ability to define and develop a design research project. This encompasses all phases, from identifying the correct research question to validating assumptions through experimental design. This research process is integral to analyzing the context and needs of future users for individual business idea development. The Bootcamp follows a learning-by-doing approach, guiding participants through concepts and tools via the design of a research project case and the execution of experiments.
The Summer School will conclude with an optional Symposium, where students will present the progress of their research and its connection to their developing business ideas. Additionally, a cultural visit to Donostia/San Sebastian, the capital of the province of Gipuzkoa, will be organized, offering participants a chance to immerse themselves in the city’s social and cultural life.
Last year’s Summer School – Mondelez International plant visit, CTU Mech Lab visit, Bratislava city visit, final presentation from students.
