AIESMA School Workshop Series: Fostering AI-Driven Innovation and Sustainability in Manufacturing
The AIESMA School (Artificial Intelligence-enabled Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Manufacturing) is proud to announce its upcoming series of intensive workshops focused on combining artificial intelligence and sustainable manufacturing.
This initiative, hosted by EIT Manufacturing and the DISI Department of the University of Trento, together with SUPSI university and TU WIEN university, provides a unique opportunity for students and young professionals to explore how technology can revolutionize manufacturing processes while fostering a sustainable future.
Note: Applicants can choose to participate in one of the workshops.

- Workshop places: 2 workshops at 2 different locations, Vienna (TU Wien) and Lugano (SUPSI)
- Workshop dates: 19 Nov – 21 Nov, 2024 (Vienna, Austria) & 21 Nov – 23 Nov, 2024 (Lugano, Switzerland)
- Certificate: EITM AIESMA Summer School Workshop Participation Certificate
- Last day to apply: 11 Nov 2024
Tuition fee for a single workshop
- Full programme general fee: EUR 200
- Participants from RIS countries and EIT Manufacturing Master School Partner universities: EUR 150
- Women participants: EUR 150 and EUR 100 respectively on the above categories
- Lunch is covered in the tuition fee

The Curriculum
The AIESMA School will deliver immersive workshops at both locations, aimed at developing practical skills and engaging participants in real-world challenges. The workshops will feature a combination of hands-on sessions, lectures from industry experts, and networking opportunities.
Topics covered include artificial intelligence, sustainability, and innovation in manufacturing. Participants will also work on case studies and take part in a company challenge to apply the concepts learned.
The primary audience for the AIESMA workshops includes master’s students and young professionals with a background in engineering, AI, and related fields, particularly those from EIT Manufacturing partner universities.

The AIESMA School aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to drive sustainable innovation in the manufacturing sector. By combining theoretical learning with practical application, the program equips participants to make a real impact on the industry’s transition towards a greener future.
About AIESMA
The AIESMA School is a collaboration between EIT Manufacturing and several partner institutions, including TU Wien in Vienna, SUPSI in Lugano, and the University of Trento. It aims to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and sustainable manufacturing, fostering an ecosystem of learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The initiative also aligns with EIT Manufacturing’s broader goals of enhancing skills in AI and sustainability, with a particular focus on involving underrepresented groups and participants from RIS countries.
