The goal of ManuCode is the development, implementation and evaluation of a connected European summer school for coding in manufacturing.

It specifically addresses people who are not already pursuing university study – in particular apprentices and high school students without any prior knowledge, as well as their teachers who are interested in life-long learning. Applying a blended learning, flipped classroom approach, the summer school consists of an online segment, in-person classes, and a project challenge that participants have to solve in mixed teams. The summer school will include 40 learners, and will be held in Austria and Estonia at the same time. Paticipants will be connected by digital collaboration tools. Key topics addressed are coding, robotics, artificial intelligence and human robot interaction, as well as project management, presentation and teamwork.
