“We”, “us”, “our” or “EIT Manufacturing” means EIT Manufacturing., as association of French law no, 1901 duly registered under the laws of France under number W913012329, having its registered office address at Centre d’Intégration NanoINNOV, 2 Boulevard Thomas Gobert, Palaiseau, 91120 France.  EIT Manufacturing embodies the KIC (Knowledge and Innovation Community) established by the European Institute for Innovation and Technology in the field of manufacturing.

We act as the Data controller for the personal data we gather through your use of our website https://www.eitmanufacturing.eu/ .

The EIT Manufacturing commits to protecting your personal data and respecting your Privacy by collecting and further processing personal data pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).

3. Information We Collect:

When you visit our website, we may collect the following information:

– Personal information you provide when signing up for newsletters or contacting us or filling in contact forms, such as your name (first and last name), email address, telephone number, job title, country, company name/type, and any additional personal information you choose to provide in these forms or emails.

– Your responses to surveys, competitions and event promotions .

– Your registration forms for events and activities.

– Information collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and other technical information. In fact, our website may use “cookies” to enhance user experience. 5. Legal Basis for Processing:

We rely on your consent as the legal basis for processing your personal information under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. By signing up for newsletters or contacting us, or filling the contact forms, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

We will also collect and process your personal data when it is required for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject with respect to the EIT activities. Article 6 paragraph 1(c) GDPR is the legal basis for this processing. Moreover, the provision of the GDPR will be complemented by:

  • Legal obligations laid down by EIT Regulation (reporting, monitoring, auditing etc.).
  • Legal obligations laid down by Horizon Europe Regulation and obligations also transposed into the Model Grant Agreement (record keeping, disseminating etc.) which include the DTTI initiative, the Grant Agreement(s) and the Partnership Agreement(s) signed between the KICs and EIT.
  • The EU Financial Regulation.

These legal obligations make it necessary that we might use your personal data for auditing, monitoring, record keeping and reporting purposes. In addition, we need to promote and disseminate information regarding the activities and events (co)-funded by the EIT and the European Union under the Grant Agreement signed by the EIT.

6. Information Sharing:

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following circumstances:

7. Third party IT tools

We use third party IT tools to inform about and promote the event through widely used communication channels, including the social media. You can watch our videos, which we also upload to our Youtube page and follow links from our website to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Zoom and LinkedIn.

Our use of third-party IT tools to connect to those services might set cookies when our website pages are loaded on your computer (or other devices). For more information about our cookie policy click here xxxxxx.

These third-party services are provided by different entities not affiliated with EIT Manufacturing and its CLCs and have their own terms of service and privacy policies.

The use of a third-party IT tool does not in any way imply that EIT Manufacturing endorses them or their privacy policies. In the event that one or more third party IT tools are occasionally unavailable, we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to their downtime.

8. Data Security:

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Organizational measures include restricting access to the personal data solely to authorized persons with a legitimate need to know for the purposes of this processing operation. Therefore, access to your personal data is provided to EIT Manufacturing staff responsible for carrying out the processing operation according to the “need to know” principle. Such staff have received training regarding data protection applicable rules.

Same goes for services providers working for EIT Manufacturing and other third parties mentioned in this Policy.

The EIT Manufacturing’s service providers are bound by specific DPAs for any processing obligations deriving from the GDPR.

9. Data Retention:

  • Personal data shared with the controller for future mailing purposes (e.g., for receiving newsletters or invitations to similar events) will be kept until you unsubscribe;
  • All personal data shared with the Controller for the rest of the purposes will be deleted five years after the reason for processing has ceased to exist.

We will retain your personal information longer than what listed above, if a longer retention period is required by law or by court proceedings .

10. International Data Transfers

EIT Manufacturing may disclose your personal information to service providers and third parties in accordance with this Policy, located outside the European Union. In such cases, such transfers will take place in accordance with Chapter 5 (art. 44-50) of the GDPR. EIT Manufacturing in general uses service providers located in countries for which an adequacy decision exists. In all other cases, EIT Manufacturing takes care of putting in place Standard Contractual Clauses with its providers.

You have specific rights as a ‘data subject’ under Chapter III (Articles 13-23) of GDPR. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to restrict or object to the processing of your personal information. The withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before you have withdrawn the consent.
