Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), founded in 1842, is the oldest and largest University of Technology in the Netherlands. It is regarded as one of the world’s top Universities of Technology with excellent international rankings (e.g. ranked 58th globally in the World Reputation Rankings of Times Higher Education magazine, ranked 17th in QS World University Rankings by Engineering and Technology, 7th in Europe). The university has 25.000 students, more than 5.000 staff members and eight faculties. TU Delft offer 16 Bachelor’s programmes and 35 English taught Master’s programmes in science, engineering and design.
In the EIT Manufacturing the Faculties of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE), Aerospace Engineering (AE) and Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering (3ME) are actively involved as well as the TU Delft Smart Industry Fieldlabs RoboHouse, SAM|XL (Smart Advanced Manufacturing XL) and UPPS (Ultra Personalised Products and Services).
