Training on multi-scale modelling simulations for additive manufacturing

Additive Manufacturing (AM) has developed rapidly during the last decade and has demonstrated significant design flexibility – particularly for customised products.

Many manufacturing companies are getting into Additive Manufacturing AM, but it requires specific skills.

To fill the existing knowledge gap, university training of design professionals and future professional engineers is needed. This project evaluates the knowledge gap in companies that want to implement AM and provides them with tailored training packages on AM, multi-scale modeling and simulation.

The training nuggets will be used by universities to educate the future workforce and researchers, so they can achieve synergies and to scale up impact.
