Additive manufacturing knowlEdge for luxury industry (CAPT’N’SEE)

Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies are now widespread in our industry. However, companies still face a challenge in hiring expert staff with a comprehensive knowledge of AM processes.

‘CAPT’N’SEE’ (CAPTure aNd foStEr additive manufacturing knowlEdge for luxury industry)  is a training program dedicated to professionals who want to enhance their expertise in the use of these technologies. The programme will address two core components of the AM value chain that have not received as much attention: early design stages in AM and the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) stage, which allows real-time control of processed parts. Building on the expertise of its consortium members, who are experienced industrial and academic partners, the project will initiate a dynamic shift in the method of work, leading to more creative, flexible and smarter AM. One of the targeted sectors will be the luxury industry, which is experiencing strong growth and features high value-added production that requires enhanced creativity and high precision.
