Great news for Greek and European startups, SMEs and the manufacturing sector! The Hellenic Development Bank (HDB) based in Greece and EIT Manufacturing South East signed  an MoU to boost innovation and growth in these crucial areas.

This significant partnership was formalised in the presence of Ms Ismini Papakirillou, CEO of HDB, and involved key persons from both organisations:

  • Mr Pantelis Tzortzakis, Executive Member of the Board of Directors at HDB
  • Ms Caroline Viarouge, CEO of EIT Manufacturing HQ
  • Dr Niki Kousi, Managing Director of EIT Manufacturing South East

The MoU outlines a collaborative effort to create a robust ecosystem that fosters technological advancements and economic stability. This will be achieved through a number of initiatives, including:

  • Co-organized events and webinars: HDB and EIT Manufacturing South East will join forces to organise events and webinars that will provide valuable insights and opportunities for startups, SMEs, and manufacturers
  • Exploring new financial and non-financial support schemes: Both parties will work together to develop innovative financial and non-financial support mechanisms to assist these sectors.

This collaboration between HDB, a key financial institution in Greece, and EIT Manufacturing, a leading European organisation for innovation in Manufacturing, is a positive step forward. By working together, we can provide much-needed support for businesses across Greece and Europe, ultimately contributing to a more dynamic and competitive manufacturing sector.
