EIT Manufacturing South and t2i – Technology Transfer and Innovation join forces to drive innovation in European manufacturing
Milan, 18 March 2025 – EIT Manufacturing South and t2i – Trasferimento Tecnologico e Innovazione have announced a strategic partnership to strengthen technological innovation and sustainable growth in the European manufacturing sector. This collaboration combines the expertise and resources of both organisations to foster innovation, support new business creation, and provide training opportunities.
EIT Manufacturing South, a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), connects key players in the manufacturing sector across Southern Europe, including Italy, Switzerland, and Malta. Its mission focuses on driving innovation through knowledge transfer, business creation, and educational initiatives.
t2i – Trasferimento Tecnologico e Innovazione, with four locations in the Veneto region, supports businesses in technology transfer, innovation, and applied research. It provides strategic services for companies of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises, enhancing their competitiveness and sustainability through advanced expertise, specialised consultancy, product testing and certification, intellectual property protection, and participation in international research projects.
Strategic collaboration
The partnership will focus on:
- Innovation promotion: Introducing companies to EIT Manufacturing calls for proposals and sharing resources to validate and commercialise new technologies.
- Training: Jointly developing upskilling and reskilling courses using EIT Manufacturing platforms and t2i infrastructures.
- Business creation support: Promoting EIT Manufacturing’s startup programmes and facilitating matchmaking activities for innovation-driven partnerships.
- Networking and events: Organising seminars, webinars, and workshops to increase the visibility of innovative solutions in manufacturing.
- Joint promotional efforts: Evaluating and co-promoting strategic initiatives to enhance their impact on regional and European manufacturing ecosystems.

t2i – Trasferimento Tecnologico e Innovazione
t2i – Trasferimento Tecnologico e Innovazione is a consortium company of the Chambers of Commerce of Treviso-Belluno, Venice-Rovigo, and Verona, with offices in Treviso, Verona, Rovigo, and Oderzo (TV). It is the largest regional innovation agency in Italy, with a multi-chamber participation structure.
t2i provides innovative services for applied research and innovation projects, startup incubation and acceleration, product testing and certification through Accredia-accredited laboratories, intellectual property protection and enhancement, and the development of advanced business skills. For several years, it has been recognised as a Digital Innovation Hub within the European I4MS platform.
As a national Research Organisation and a partner in the European Digital Innovation Hub network, t2i is also an accredited training entity in the Veneto Region, a certified incubator under the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and Italy’s leading PatLib centre.
