EIT Jumpstarter Grand Final 2022

The 6^th EIT Jumpstarter Grand Final 2022 took place on the 29^th of November 2022 at Krakow, Poland. Over 100 innovators from Central, Eastern and Southern Europe gathered in Krakow to turn their ideas into viable businesses.

Before getting to the Final, for each of the 7 KICs, a set of startups applied with the description of their ideas. Some of the applications were selected for the next step of the competition that was to pitch during the Grand Final in Krakow. Consequently, 42 finalists competed in these seven KICs of the EIT – Health, Food, Raw Materials, Energy, Urban Mobility, Manufacturing, and the New European Bauhaus. Dr. Niki Kousi, Managing Director of CLC South East, was one of the members of the jury that evaluated the pitches of the startups related to manufacturing.

Three prizes were given to 3 startups for the KIC of EIT Manufacturing: a) 1^st prize went to Quimsil from Spain, b) 2^nd prize went to Lume Label from Poland) and 3^rd prize went to Fprint from Spain.  The Bulgarian start-up Green Kilometers won the Bes Cross – Thematic Business Idea prize and the University of Warsaw won the award of BEST RIS Hub for EIT Food.
