EIT Manufacturing South East had the pleasure of co-organising Access2Tech Europe – Turkiye, held on June 5 at MEXT premises in Istanbul, Turkiye. This exciting event, organized by EIT Manufacturing South East, Mercedes Benz Turk and under the auspices of TUBITAK, brought together the best of both European and Turkish manufacturing ecosystem – from established corporates to innovative startups and government organisations.

The event also offered a unique opportunity for participants to listen to important and diverse speakers and panels including large companies such as Mercedes Benz TR, SIDENOR, Renault, Ford, Arcelik a.o., European Institutions and EIT Manufacturing. 

The team structured an exciting agenda aiming to unlock new opportunities for the Turkish ecosystem and beyond:  

-> Manufacturing Challenges:  Representatives from top european manufacturers such as Mercedes, Ford, Renault a.o. presented their developments and also their challenges in the Manufacturing sector   

–> EU perspective: Delegates from the DG for Research and Innovation, DG for Education, Youth and Sport, EIT and EIT Manufacturing RIS participated, sharing their perspective on the development and synergies of the Manufacturing sector and how to increase engagement of the Turkish Manufacturing Ecosystem to EU/EIT programs 

–> EIT Manufacturing: Funding Opportunities and Value propositions of EIT Manufacturing were shared, aiming to assisting startups and large corporates in order the latter to promote their work and achieve impactful collaborations 

–> Top Technologies (startups): Several European startups presented their cutting-edge solutions for manufacturing challenges in several domains, participating simultaneously to a competition for the most innovative one
