Online Short Course: Supply Chain in Manufacturing
Online Short Course: Supply Chain in Manufacturing
The EITM Doctoral School Innovation Short Courses 2023 continue with the 2nd short course on “Supply Chain in Manufacturing”, delivered by one of our partner universities, Grenoble INP on 21st & 22nd June (online),
Topic of discussion: Discrete-event simulation for decision aiding in manufacturing context
This short course will be delivered by Mr. Zakaria Yahouni, he is a researcher and lecturer of industrial engineering at Grenoble INP and G-SCOP Laboratory. He holds a PhD. in industrial engineering from the Ecole Centrale of Nantes. His research is focused on using machine learning and simulation for manufacturing and supply chain optimization.

Last day to apply: 20 June 2023
Entry requirements
- You are either a PhD student, researcher, or professional in Manufacturing topics interested in deepening your knowledge of manufacturing
- The program is in English, you must understand, read and write English at a proficient level
Additional information
-
– You will learn how to model a manufacturing system and assess its performance. Discrete Events Simulation (Arena software) will be used for this purpose. Once simulation models are created, students will create, evaluate and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Such KPIs will help to make value judgments on the manufacturing system.
– You will learn how to transform physical entities into digital ones using discrete events simulation. A case study will help acquire competencies in digitizing a manufacturing line and collect information and KPIs from it.
-
– Main fee: 100€
– 50% discount for students from Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) countries and women: 50€
– EITM Doctoral School Students: Free
Note: The course fee is not refundable.
