TF KnowNet aims to deliver a programme where students, researchers and companies work together to mutually develop skills and share expert knowledge by co-creating solutions to industrial manufacturing challenges. Extending the established Teaching Factory (TF) paradigm on a network level while combining it with open innovation practices to address the demands of both students and professionals.

This will be achieved through a collaborative Knowledge Sharing Network of organisations (academia and industry) that can exchange information effectively.

The developed programme can be used in two ways:

  • As part of academic learning through virtually connected classrooms and labs, exploiting the expertise and specialised equipment of each partner and becoming an inherent part of the qualification process;
  • For professional learning, where it will be used for introducing RTD advancements to manufacturing practitioners and re-skilling workers.TF Knownet map
