gil@fe.up.ptLinkedinThe ShapiNG II project aims at motivating and raise the interest of young Europeans in pursuing a manufacturing career. The programme puts a particular emphasis on secondary school students (aged 12-18) and girls. In doing so, the project is engaging and industring teachers within the EIT RIS countries: Portugal, Spain, Greece, Slovakia, and Czech Republic.
Project goal: To develop and grow a network of Smart Manufacturing Demonstrators, videos, and presentations will aid Universities and RTOs to attract young students across EIT RIS countries, and contributing to creating a realistic and positive image of the manufacturing industry. By “socializing” with smart manufacturing challenges and career opportunities in early ages, the project hope sto encourage more students to consider a career in manufacturing, and consequently contribute to close the talent and skills gap.
