Robot Operating System (ROS)-based Education of Advanced Motion Planning and Control

About the project

In RIEMANN we create learning material to teach skilled professionals advanced concepts of autonomous navigation and manipulation.

Purpose of the project

This project aims to reduce technological barriers to using a fleet of robots in warehouses and manufacturing environments.

Societal impact

The project allows professionals to use an open-source framework, the Robot Operating System (ROS), to control their robot independently of the vendor.

Main results & insights

The outcome is self-learning material about mobile manipulation and advanced navigation concepts for the European online reskilling platform Skills.move.

Quote from the Activity Leader

The project provides an individual hands-on learning experience for mobile manipulation based on the world-leading robotics framework.
