EIT Manufacturing Covid-19 open call–more than 70 applications received

We received many applications for EIT Manufacturing’s open call in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications fell into two categories: Venture Support for high potential scale-ups and SMEs and support for innovation activities directly addressing the pandemic.

All in all, EIT Manufacturing received more than 70 applications, of which:

• 20 innovation proposals addressing the pandemic directly
• 52 high potential start-ups companies applied for venture support

EIT Manufacturing and EIT will select the most promising applications to turn the pandemic crisis to an opportunity. Applications are currently under evaluation and the results will be disclosed at the end of June with projects running until end of the year. As part of the EIT’s Crisis Response Initiative, this activity directly contributes to the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
