What’s in it for you?

If you succeed to be among the 6 shortlisted finalists from the first phase, the Business Creation team of EIT Manufacturing North will provide you with a “growth package” service support for a total duration of two months.

The top 3 winning startups selected from the 2nd phase, will receive prize awards of €5.000 each to support their European expansion strategy.

Who can apply?

BoostUp! North 2023 is open to startups with solutions in the realm of manufacturing technologies. In particular, submissions need to fit 1) one of EIT Manufacturing’s focus areas, 2) at least one of the following market segments as well as 3) one of the following technology domains:

How to apply?

The following documentation must be submitted by the applicants through the submission platform no later than the call deadline 8 January 2024, 17:00 CET:

(1) The Application Form, duly filled in

(2) Company Pitch Deck in Microsoft PowerPoint format; such file will be used as supporting presentation in case the startup is shortlisted for the 2nd phase: the document must be tailored to a 5 minutes presentation and the following details shall be clearly outlined:

  • industry pain points, the innovativeness, scalability and impact of the solution(s)
  • target markets and description of the main(s) applicative use case(s) addressed by the company offerings and technologies
  • competitive outlook of the solutions
  • team and company organization
  • existing business traction (i.e., revenues from commercial activities, on going proof of concepts, investment raised/funding situation)
  • business development plans (incl. financial aspects) and go-to-European-market strategy

(3) Company logo in high quality graphic format (this will be used for the call promotional campaign)

(4) Company Registration Certificate

NOTE: Only applications submitted through the online link (please see below) before the deadline will be accepted and considered. The organisers reserve the right to extend the submission deadline; any extension of the deadline will be communicated to the public on the competition website.

Timeline

  • Call opening: 30 October, 2023
  • Call closing updated:  8 January, 2024, 17:00 CET.
  • Eligibility and admissibility check: until 9 January, 2024
  • 1st phase – Evaluation of proposals: until 17 January, 2024
  • Announcement of 2nd phase shortlist: 19 January, 2024
  • 2nd phase – Event Day/ live pitch session: 8 February, 2024

Communication of results: a jury deliberation meeting will take place directly after the pitch session. Right after the jury decision is taken, the results will be announced publicly during the award ceremony of the event.
