New to BoostUp! ?
Simply put, BoostUp! is EIT Manufacturing’s startup competition format that has been instrumental in promoting business creation in the manufacturing sector throughout Europe since 2020. On 8 December 2023, from 09:30h to 14:15h, the competition final will take place in Paris (France), with a special focus on Circular Economy for Industry 4.0.
What’s in it for you?
In a nutshell:
- Support for internationalisation
- Visibility and access to EIT Manufacturing’s European network
- Prize awards: €7,000 (1st), €5,000 (2nd), €3,000 (3rd)
Should you succeed in becoming one of the shortlisted finalists from the initial phase, the Business Creation team of EIT Manufacturing West will provide you with dedicated support for a duration of two months, to help you achieve your goals.

Who can apply?
BoostUp! FRANCE 2023 Circular Economy is open to applications from French startups with solutions in the realm of manufacturing technologies. Submissions need to fit one of the following EIT Manufacturing focus areas. This year’s competition will have a special emphasis on Circular Economy.
- Low Environmental Footprint Systems & Circular Economy for Green Manufacturing
- Flexible Production Systems for Competitive Manufacturing
- Digital & Collaborative Solutions for Innovative Manufacturing Ecosystems
- Human-machine co-working for socially sustainable manufacturing
Submissions need to fit a least one of the following technology domains:

How can you apply?
The following documentation must be submitted by the applicants through the submission platform no later than 5 October:
- The Application Form
- Company Pitch Deck: the document must be tailored to a 3-minute presentation
- Company logo
- Company Registration Certificate
NOTE: Only applications submitted through the online link before the deadline will be accepted and considered. The organisers reserve the right to extend the submission deadline; any extension of the deadline will be communicated to the public on the competition website.
Any documentation missing or considered incomplete, may be a reason for application rejection

Key dates and milestones
- Call opening: August 2nd, 2023
- Call closing: October 5th, 2023
- Eligibility and admissibility check: October 6th, 2023
- 1st phase, evaluation of proposals: Until October 18th, 2023
- Announcement of 2nd phase shortlist: October 20th, 2023
- 2nd phase, live pitch session: December 8th, 2023, 09:30h – 13:30h
- Communication of results: A jury deliberation meeting will take place directly after the pitching session. Right after the jury decision is taken, the results will be announced publicly during the event.
